Opening Summer 2026/2027
Completion of the Championship Golf Course at Country Club is entering its final phase, and it promises to redefine what golf in Tasmania can be.
Designed through an immersive, on the ground process with architect Robin Gibson, the course has been shaped in harmony with its natural contours, mature trees, waterways and sweeping parkland environment. Every bunker, creek line and green complex has been placed with purpose, responding to the land rather than imposing on it.
The result is Tasmania's first true parklands championship course. Lush, strategic, beautifully framed and alive with movement. Flowing creeks, stone bridges, sculpted fairways and dramatic greens create a course that rewards smart decision making and invites golfers to think their way from tee to green. It is visually stunning, walkable, and filled with moments that shift with light, wind and season, ensuring no two rounds ever feel the same.
Crafted for golfers of every level, from serious competitors to social players and travelling golf enthusiasts, this course blends elite playing conditions with an unforgettable sense of place. It is bold. It is thoughtful. It is unlike anything else in Tasmania, and it is almost ready.
Temporary closures: The golf course is temporarily closed and will be reopening in summer 2026/2027. Try the new Range and Mini Golf in the meantime.
Very well cared for course. No stand out views or spectacular holes, however the whole course is in great condition. Bunkers are a key feature and are usually placed very strategically. I personally appreciated the tasmanian player discount. Great pro shop with plenty of stock.
First time visit. Enjoyed the course despite occasional difficulty finding the next tee. So signposting could have been better. Pro somewhat frosty and not very receptive for visitors. Course map available but not offered. Would have helped above re tees. Not told about temporary hole. No signposting re distane. But overall a good experience.
Travelling through the area while Caravaning Tassie and played the front 9 in their Friday 9 hole comp, people I was paired with very friendly and welcoming. Continued to play the back nine myself. Excellent greens, fairways had just been cored, and had done a great job of it. Could see the fairways will come back really well. Would be the pick of Launceston courses for quality and lay out.
Had an Education evening there. Not wheelchair friendly sò hard to reach the event. Food was nice nibblies. Room big an airy.
very nice place with some nice facilities, footpath is quite nice and the grass is exquisite, perfect length, width and shape. Do feel as if we should get different coloured golf carts like yellow or green or even pink ones just to spice the golf life up. Drinks and food are very nice with a wide selection however definitely lacking some nice cold Pasito. Shaping and the style of the roof is a sight to see!
