GirlsTrek Tasmania

GirlsTrek is a female-founded and female-led company that has run guided hiking trips exclusively for women since 2010. Its small-group trips, for up to 12 women, run for 4 to 7 days across Tasmania, including Freycinet, Cradle Mountaon, Wine Glass Bay, Kunanyi, MAria Island, Derby and the Bay of Fires, with further trips around Australia and overseas.

Most guests are aged 40 and over, and many travel solo. Each trip is graded for fitness, from easy walking to challenging trekking, so women can choose the right level. Days combine guided walks on well-known trails such as the Cradle Mountain High Circuit, Wine Glass Bay Circuit and Maria Island Trails, with stays at family-run accommodation, dinners at local restaurants, and time with local producers and makers.
