The Howard Hadley Gallery is a dynamic exhibition and event space. It features temporary exhibitions for guests to explore.
Art is interwoven into the history of Hadley’s Orient Hotel, most notably landscape paintings. This gallery is named after Howard Hadley, one of the early landlords who was himself an artist and art collector. Howard and his father were passionate about art and their collection was shown throughout the hotel, including works by prominent landscape artists such as Haughton Forrest.
With the introduction of Hadley's Gallery in 2016 and Hadley's Art Prize in 2017, Hadley's Orient Hotel's colourful artistic past has had a fresh coat of paint and creativity.

Absolutely fabulous! Quiet, cosy and historical hotel. Central location. Walking distance to markets, malls, museum, pubs and harbour. Spacious family room. Buffet breakfast was a good variety and topped up regularly. Best customer service ever! Shout out to staff members Ash and Cyril.

Cyril was an amazing receptionist, he is very friendly and very nice to chat with. I appreciated the stay a lot more after participating in their free self guided audio tour where I got to learn a lot of interesting historical facts associated with the hotel.
The room we stayed in was very cozy , however is was pretty dim as it doesn’t have a main light, beds were comfy!

If you like that old world feeling of stepping back in time or a fan of Downton Abbey this place has so much charm & history. Probably some of the best service, staff all smiley and friendly, you're made to feel really welcome. Place feels very clean and well taken care of so you still feel comfortable. Very central location, a short walk to everywhere we needed to be. It's a stay with It's own story, my friends and I really enjoyed it and would recommend!

So bloody beautiful! A real privilege to be able to stay somewhere so historically rich and brimming with character. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The decor is awe-inspiring, I could spend hours just admiring every detail. There was a scheduled singing pianist at 5pm on Saturday that was so wonderful. The bar's cocktails weren't good, nor was the breakfast. But in the rooms the shower was amazing, the pressure was great with hot water. I thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary newspaper of the place. The floor was uneven and felt like it was bouncing beneath my feet which should be considering but honestly I found it charming.

My lady and I had a wonderful experience. The hotel was beautiful, but it was the staff’s attentiveness , enthusiasm, and kindness that really made the experience stand out. Everyone was kind, but Ash went above and beyond to making us feel special. Thank you for the great stay.
