Discover the magical world of Tasmazia and the Village of Lower Crackpot, offering fun and laughter for the whole family, including kids from the ages of 1 – 101! Located on route to Cradle Mountain, near the Lake Barrington Rowing Course, just 15 km south of Sheffield (Town of Murals) or 40 km south of Devonport (the home of the Spirit of Tasmania) in Tasmania's North West.
Tasmazia is one of the world’s largest maze complexes with eight mazes to explore, including four mature botanical mazes, planted in viburnum or Chinese honeysuckle.
Tasmazia prides itself on being politically incorrect and there are humorous quotes and surprises to be found throughout the complex. You can wander the amazing Village of Lower Crackpot, built to 1/5th scale, with each building having a unique Tasmanian story, or find the embassy of your fore-bares in Embassy Gardens where over 40 countries are represented.
The complex also includes The Three Bears Cottage, Cubby Town, lookouts and a field of 10,000 lavender plants (peak flowering in January). There’s a gift shop selling Tasmanian honey and lavender products as well as souvenirs, puzzles, Crackpot products and treats.
No visit is complete without a visit to the cafe.
Visitors of all ages will enjoy a truly memorable experience while experiencing our nature therapy of fresh air, exercise, and then a good night sleep.

It is good and my kid definitely likes it. There are so many things to venture such as the maze and small village for adult and kid to explore. The country embassy design are pretty cool and fascinating. We came abit late therefore the cafe was close else would definitely try some nice food. The souvenir shop is a place to buy tickets and other nice items which they have for their branding. Overall it is great place to enjoy for your kids and adults definitely will have fun too.
I took my niece to this amazing place during the summer break in Jan 2026. We went on a Monday with my husband. We really enjoyed the nature, the maze puzzles, and the cute miniature structures. The weather was perfect that day, and my niece had a blast. You'll want about 1 to 2 hours to explore the park, and the last entry is at 4 pm, with the park closing at 5 pm. The staff is super friendly and clearly explains everything about the place and the puzzles. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. Kids will absolutely love it. Overall, the park was clean, tidy, and well-kept for a day trip if you're visiting Cradle Mountain and Mole Creek caves. Plus, to get there, you'll pass through Sheffield, a charming country town with lovely shops to browse.
Super friendly staff, up for a nice chat. Lavender shortbread was fab. Mazes were great and loved by both the grown ups and kids.
Weekday a wonderful family experience! Something for everyone, from the little people keen to explore and try out their skills to adults verging on burnout. The adult humour (and refreshingly liberal) is exceptionally funny and definitely gives one a break from long travel routes. Dad jokes abound. The mazes are well- maintained and home to small wildlife - possum and the like. This has to have this end of the world's best laid out and cleanest toilets south of the Tropic of the Capricorn. Would definitely recommend a Tazmazia visit to anyone travelling into the area.
Seems extremely bizarre to cut the hedges down to well below eye level just as school holidays were starting. They were cut down to the point you could see almost all of the goals in the great maze, and thinned out to the point that you could almost walk to them directly because of the gaps. I understand the need for maintenance... but beyond this seeming extreme, Tasmazia is advertised as part of The Off Season festivities until August, there was no notification anywhere about this (online, on site, or from staff), and we were still charged full price for what I would argue was barely half the experience. Super disappointed. I will likely return, I really do love this place and I would LOVE to add two stars to this review for them... but this experience has left me quite sad about the place. And it won't be for a few years, I'd wager. I'll come back once the maze is a maze again. Also, the run down Embassy Garden is kind of extremely horrid as far as "its just a joke" goes, but I suppose I'm just not the target audience, I guess.
