About

A stunning heritage-listed stone church (with sauna), as featured on ABC TV's Restorations Australia, converted into a boutique home and events space. St Martin's is just 30 mins from Hobart airport. It is nestled in the old fishing village of Dunalley, the gateway to the stunning Tasman peninsula, with the harbour visible on one side and the ocean on the other.

St Martin's has been lovingly restored and adorned with period antiques. A modern architectural addition at the back of the building has been respectfully erected to complement and extend the main living area. It presents a modern, beautiful kitchen and bathroom with 'sho-sugi-ban' cladding (traditional Japanese charred timbers) and an open deck with inbuilt seating, firepit and sea views. In the garden sits a generous Norwegian spruce sauna with traditional stone steaming, complementing the internal fireplace and wall panel heating. Gardens envelope the property.

The main bed is a Murphy bed, enabling it to be flipped into the wall to create an open events space.
