Woolmers Estate is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Longford, Tasmania. Six self-contained cottages range from one to three bedrooms, accommodating two to six guests. Four Free Settlers Cottages work well for couples and friends, with interconnecting doors for larger groups. Wood-burning heaters, electric heating, and self-contained kitchens in every cottage.
Arrive to a Devonshire tea, then watch the long Tasmanian evening light set behind our heritage buildings from your cottage verandah, the grounds quiet once the day's visitors have gone. Come morning, wander our expansive rose garden, home to 3,000 roses, while their scent is at its strongest. A complimentary continental breakfast is then waiting for you in the Servants' Kitchen before the day begins.

Free Worker's Cottages
Watch the sun set behind the heritage buildings from outside your cottage, then let the evening chill draw you inside to your own wood fire. Four cottages built by convict hands in the 1840s, sitting within UNESCO World Heritage listed Woolmers Estate. Blacksmith's, Wheelwright's, Carpenter's and Ploughman's each feature a wood-burning heater, full kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower, and mezzanine bedroom. King or twin configuration. Arranged in pairs, ideal for couples or groups travelling together.
Groom's Cottage
Wake in your own private hedge-lined garden retreat to the fragrance of thousands of roses drifting on the morning air from the Rose Garden just a short stroll away, your crackling wood fire from the night before still glowing as the day begins. As the most spacious of Woolmers Estate's six heritage cottages, Groom's Cottage sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms over two levels, giving everyone their own room while sharing one living space together, the ideal choice for families or groups.
