Located on the side of the community BBQ at Simpson Park, Muswellbrook, this vibrant mosaic artwork is the creation of well-known local artist Leanne Ward, whose work is recognised across the Upper Hunter region.
The mosaic was developed as part of a youth engagement project led by Upper Hunter Community Services. Local children were invited to draw scenes and symbols representing life in Muswellbrook—ranging from animals to industry to familiar streetscapes. These imaginative illustrations were then interpreted and brought together by Leanne, who designed the final artwork and worked alongside the children and their caregivers to complete the mosaic.
