The 665 metre long Sea Cliff Bridge is a highlight along the Grand Pacific Drive. A drive which takes in 140 kilometres worth of coastal scenery from the Royal National Park, Loftus down to Nowra.
The bridge has become an icon to the people of Wollongong and the world, once again welcoming tourists annually to this picturesque coastal road.
Opened in December 2005, the Sea Cliff Bridge offers visitors the chance to get out of the car and stretch their legs. It is also a great viewing platform for migrating whales heading north/south during migrating season.
The Sea Cliff Bridge is accessible via public transport. Coalcliff station has trains running seven days a week. There is a steep incline from the train station to the bridge; the walk will take approximately 15 minutes from station to bridge.
Bus stops are located on either side of the Sea Cliff Bridge. Premier Illawarra Bus Number 2 provides services Monday to Saturday (not available on public holidays, please check timetables prior to travelling).
For train and bus timetables please refer to Sydney trains and Premier Illawarra Buses.
A truly breathtaking view and an amazing place to visit. You can see the entire bridge, the sea, and the surrounding area โ itโs incredibly peaceful and refreshing. Finding the right spot to walk up is the key, as the entrance to the trail isnโt very obvious at first.
Parking is available either along the road or in a car park about 100 metres away. The cliff and walking trail can be a bit of a struggle and may be dangerous in some sections, so proper footwear and caution are important.
If you love photography or flying a drone, this is one of the best places to visit. The views are absolutely worth it. ๐ธ๐

There is a small place where you can park the car and then you can walk the bridge and admire the water. At the other end of it is a small park and an alley that leads under the brige. Is very nice to walk it, and on the cliffs if you pay attention you can see crabs - they run away but if you are fast enough you get to see lots of them๐

Beautifully curving, very well designed bridge with barriered walking lane. We walked the entire bridge back and forth. What stunning views of an open ocean. Trip to Sydney will be incomplete without visiting this place. You can even walk underneath the bridge on a rocky sea shore. The rock structures and clear turquois blue water won't let you take your eyes away!

Absolutely STUNNING!
What a beautiful stretch of scenic ocean view driving. I loved how we were able to stop and park, get out and walk as much of the bridge as we wanted. It was really cool to look over the bridge and see some old antiques at the bottom. We drove this beautiful scenic drive on our way to Kiama Lighthouse & Blow Hole. It was a beautiful day indeed!

Visiting Sea Cliff Bridge was an amazing experience. The bridge curves beautifully along the coastline with endless views of the ocean and cliffs. The sound of waves, fresh sea breeze, and scenic lookout points make it a must-visit spot near Sydney. Highly recommended for a relaxed drive, photography, or a short walk.
