Nestled in the stunning Perth Hills, Araluen Botanic Park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and families alike. Boasting a spectacular array of rare and exotic plants, the Park is a visual feast that enchants visitors of all ages.
The Park's most iconic event is the It's Yates Springtime Tulip Festival, which draws visitors from all over the world to marvel at a kaleidoscope of colour. With over 200,000 tulips in bloom in August and September, It's Yates Springtime is a bucket list item for travellers and locals.
Autumn at Araluen is just as impressive. As the leaves change colour, the Park is transformed into a magical wonderland that is sure to leave you in awe. However, Araluen's stunning landscapes and diverse range of flora make it a beautiful and impressive destination to visit in all seasons.
Beyond seasonal events such as Mother's Day and Carols by Torchlight, Araluen Botanic Park is also a popular wedding venue, offering a range of picturesque locations to choose from.
Have been a regular member of this park since last 8 years and it has never failed to impress me with its natural charm. Love going there for my idyllic walks and coffee. Its quite bustling in the spring when its tulip season but pretty quiet rest of the year. I think its cafe needs improvement as the new one is nothing like the one before.
Did not actually plan on coming here but was heading out to canning dam so decided to drop by and touch some grass. I was gobsmacked at how beautiful this place was, just peaceful and quite perfect for families, couples, tourists groups or even single people if you wish to touch grass. Plenty of places to sit and take photos as well. I did plan on having lunch but the cafe was a little bit underwhelming fine if you want a pre-packed sandwich, they did have a small range of cold and warm drinks. It’s not free so as a single person it was $15 with no concession.
I recently visited Araluen Botanic Park and it was honestly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve been to around Perth. The park is incredibly well maintained, with a huge variety of flowers, trees, and landscaped gardens that make every corner feel special. What I loved most was how relaxing the whole place feels. Walking through the gardens, hearing the sound of birds and water flowing from the small streams, it almost feels like you’re far away from the busy city. The scenery changes as you move through different areas of the park, so there’s always something new to look at. If you visit during flower season, especially the tulip festival, the colors are absolutely stunning. The rows of flowers create such a beautiful view and it’s perfect for photos. Even outside of the festival season, the park still feels lush and peaceful with lots of greenery. The facilities are also very good. There are plenty of walking paths, picnic spots, and open spaces where you can just sit down and enjoy the nature. It’s a great place to come with family, friends, or even just for a quiet walk alone. Overall, Araluen Botanic Park is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing day in nature. Beautiful gardens, fresh air, and a very calm atmosphere make it a 5-star experience for me. I would definitely recommend visiting if you are in Western Australia.
Been a few times over the years. Always nice and peaceful. $40 a ticket is not cheap, but the park is well maintained, and some great photos can be shot here. Many shelters. Plenty of toilet facilities. The only thing is some part of the park allows the cars drive in with people walking on the same road. Very dangerous for kids running around. Recommended for photography lovers, family day out or romantic date.
A nice park in the vicinity of Perth. We were surprised there was an entrance fee, that usually is not the case with botanic gardens or parks in Australia. We visited at the end of summer so it was quite dry and not too many flowers to admire, just some sunflowers and roses. The trees and bushes were beautiful, though.
