Rottnest Island is a limestone rock-based Island, being of a soft porous composition. This soft rock coupled with the open Indian ocean currents, has created deep crevices, caverns and huge swim through like you have never seen before. The soft corals are amazing, the fish life is truly diverse and the exploratory nature of the maze of caves is just sensational.
Very good experience, very professional and caring. All of three staff were exceptional at what they do. The buffet was delicious and catering to all preferences. Highly recommend trying it out if your interested in diving and experience.
We have been on Blue Destiny dozens of times, and the crew has always been excellent in their service. Last Saturday, while onboard Blue Destiny, we experienced very rough sea conditions during our first dive, a huge swell hit the boat hard. As I ascended and returned to the boat, some diver are still in the water. I witnessed truly top-notch, swift action from the crew. They efficiently assisted divers out of the water, immediately deployed a pickup for drifting divers, and lifted the anchor without hesitation to reach the rest of them. The entire crew moved quickly and in perfect coordination to ensure that all divers were safely back on board. A big shout-out to Dario, Alana, Alex and Paula and the rest of the crew for their professionalism, teamwork, and calm response under challenging conditions. This level of safety and care is exactly why we continue to choose Blue Destiny time and time again.
The blue destiny team are absolutely amazing and the vessel feels like your flying first class! Super spacious, delicious food, all the equipment you need and crew that do everything they can to make it the best and safest experience for everyone. We (Oz Fish and Seeds for Snapper crew) have been diving on Blue Destiny for our restoration dives for several years now, and every trip is just as good as the last. Special shout-out to skipper Dario, for his excellent navigation skills finding the best seagrass beds for our volunteers to work on - making a huge difference in amping up the success of seagrass restoration efforts to improve fish habitat throughout Cockburn Sounds. On the dive front - Alana and Phil are there to show you a good time and make sure everyone has a safe and comfortable experience - couldn't ask for a better crew and look forward to diving with you again next Seeds for Snapper season!
That was easily the best charter I’ve ever been on. The vessel is spacious and well equipped. The crew is friendly and professional. The food was next level! Thank you!
We've been on a few dives with Blue Destiny. The boat, food and staff are second to none with the price being basically the same as all other operators locally. They're not pushy around specific rules but the whole operation is run very safely. Way more safe than some we've been with who offer guided experiences. The lunch is great. Pasta salad, lasagne (veg and non veg), potato salad, regular salad. There's fresh warm/hot water taps when you get out and need to warm up, the toilets are clean and spacious enough. There's a range of seating options (outside downstairs, inside downstairs in the bar, on the bow with the water spray, upstairs in the sunshine). The crew seem to love what they do and are really helpful with your gear and giving instructions without being too much. We always make friends on this boat so it must attract a good crowd! There's also a big range of divers with varying experience and equipment so if you didn't have a buddy when you arrive I imagine you'd be paired quite well. Some very minor improvement feedback, it would be good to get a bit more of an overview of the dive site before you get in so you can make a dive plan.
