What a wonderful museum!! So much history and way bigger than it looks. We were treated to listening to the old coin operated piano and an original wax cylinder Edison phonograph. We spent over an hour in this museum and loved our step back in time - and not just related to the coalfields.
Great spot to learn about the history of the town. Including, but limited to, coal mining. Run by locals who give their time generously. So take a look and show your support.
Heaps of memorabilia to look at, very friendly staff with plenty of local knowledge and a fun activity for the kids. A great way to spend a few hours.
Look into the past & see how life was.Windows to another world.Great capture of facts in this Museum.Well worth 2 hrs here.
This would have to be one of the best museums in Australia It has many items from the towns history preserved and presented extremely well The old roads board building at the entrance gives the impression that this is a small exhibition however the extensive sheds on the site more than make this an extensive collection An absolute credit to the volunteers that keep it in good condition and keep the doors open
