Exmouth Dive and Whalesharks Ningaloo have been operating for many years on the Ningaloo Reef and is Exmouth's original dive centre. They specialise in WhaleShark Swim Tours, Humpback Whale Watching and Humpback Whale Swims, Scuba Diving, Snorkelling and having a great time on the Ningaloo Reef. They are a founding member of Australian Wildlife Journeys.
Their long-term commitment to this area of the Ningaloo Reef allows them to know where to find the very best snorkelling, and diving and to have the most reliable and exciting interactions on their whale shark swims, with the myriad of creatures that call this area home.
Exmouth Dive is the only Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) 5-Star Instructor Development Centre (IDC) on the Ningaloo Reef, offering a complete diver training service. They are open seven days a week for sales and service, dive tours, equipment hire, air fills and with three boats they can get you out on the reef!

Deluxe Whale Shark Swim Tours
Ningaloo Reef Whale Shark Swims operate daily from March to August in two luxury vessels - Blue Strike and Jazz II. Come snorkel with the biggest fish in the sea! Join them for a full-day tour on one of their big stable boats for a day of fun on the World Heritage Ningaloo Reef. They use spotter planes to locate the Whalesharks as they are in the wild - they do not feed the Whalesharks. Then it’s time to get in with their experienced guides who will lead you on the greatest adventure of a lifetime! On board, their marine biologist will teach you all about Whalesharks and reef ecology. You will also have the chance to see Manta Rays, Humpbacks, Dugongs and Dolphins. Their videographer will take a great video of the day – and is yours free to keep! They offer a good swim guarantee and 50% off repeat tours per paying passenger in the unlikely event that they do not see a Whaleshark.
Humpback Whale and Wildlife Tour
With the flexibility and freedom to swim with humpback whales or observe them from the comfort of the boat - they offer an experience you’ll remember forever. Whether you choose to swim in the water under the careful guidance of their experienced Divemasters or opt to remain on board to appreciate the size and scale of the whales from above the surface, one thing is for certain, you’ll never forget the first time you see these playful, gentle creatures in action. Travel to the Ningaloo Reef to view the whales cruising the reef, then enjoy a snorkel on the reef looking at all of the beautiful fish and amazing marine life. Sit back for a joyride as they cruise to their snorkel site on the Ningaloo Reef where you can see gorgeous colourful fish, dugongs, turtles, beautiful coral and so much more! Then they venture out to see the whales from the deck of one of their big stable boats. Get ready to have a whale of a time!
Sunset Whale Watching Tours
Relax and enjoy the short ride on one of their big stable boats as they travel from Exmouth Marina to locate the Humpback whales. Witness the whales in their natural habitat as their experienced crew teaches you all about these fantastic creatures. Watch whales frolic with the backdrop of the magnificent Cape Range from their easy walk-around deck whilst enjoying a platter of nibbles and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine or beer. Often mothers and their calves will delight them with a visit and if you’re lucky you will see way more than just one breach.
Scuba Diving Tours
Enjoy world-class dive sites just off Exmouth! They currently offer the biggest number of comprehensive dive tours across multiple dive sites that give participants the chance to explore the incredible underwater landscape of Ningaloo Reef and the Muiron Islands. Renowned internationally as one of the most exciting and visually stunning regions for scuba diving, your dive will be a sensory experience quite like no other. The vast underwater wilderness of Western Australia’s North West Cape is filled with exotic coral formations of every colour and description. You’ll explore undersea formations carved by the ocean’s current over hundreds of years and swim through chasms and caves populated with the exotic fish and marine creatures that inhabit the Coral Coast.
Snorkelling Tours
This is a full day of ocean fun for everyone! Snorkel the West Side or the Muiron Islands exploring sights accessible only by boat and discover why everyone falls in love with Ningaloo! Search for wildlife to view from the boat such as Dolphins, Dugongs, Humpback Whales and Whale sharks (boat viewing only). If they find Manta Rays or Turtles they’ll hop in for a swim with them! The tour includes reef snorkels at different sites, equipment, snacks and a buffet lunch. Their qualified Divemasters and Instructors can teach you how to snorkel even if this will be your first time.

We booked this tour one day in advance after all the other agencies in Exmouth were fully booked, for this we wanted to thanks the Ningaloo Center. Since this was our last option, we were hoping the tour would still be good. They picked us up at 7:00 AM and brought us to the pier, where we took a small boat that transferred us to the main vessel. The whale shark experience itself was fantastic and extremely well organized. Everything ran smoothly throughout the day, allowing us to fully enjoy this incredible encounter. From the pickup until the end of the tour, the staff was AMAZING—extremely attentive, accommodating, and professional. But beyond that, which I think is even more important, their passion and love for what they do truly stood out. They always had smiles on their faces and were full of energy! We would like to thank all of you: Carla, Ben, Albert, Zack, and Gabby. You made our experience even more special. See you next time!

When booking a whale shark tour we were a little overwhelmed by the choice that Exmouth had to offer but oh boy did we make the right decision. I’ve done a lot of tours in my life and my boyfriend and I both agreed this is the best one we have ever been on! We would rate every aspect 5 stars. The food was brilliant, the boat was great, the crew were the best I’ve experienced and the wildlife… WOW. Zac and Charlie were kind, funny, and really enthusiastic: they did a great job briefing everyone and keeping the energy high. Caitlin, Izzy and Georgia were so passionate, knowledgeable and bubbly and really made the trip one we will never forget. The photos Caitlin took were gobsmacking!! (Such a nice touch to include that In the price unlike other tours) The tour was full of action from the get go we saw whale sharks, humpbacks, leopard sharks, reef sharks, dolphins, guitar shark, sea snakes, turtles and more… I couldn’t reccomend this tour enough, I am genuinely calling my friends from the UK to add it to their bucket list.

Sam snorkel guide and Zack (Skipper on the boat) went above and beyond to make sure that my family had a chance and were very encouraging to my 6 year old child, who was initially reluctant to go into the water. Anna , one of the crew also was very caring to make sure she was comfortable. Overall one of the most professional and personable tours we have been on, and this one was our 4th. So thank you to the crew and the company for the amazing experience. Seeing the corals, family having fun and to top it off , a double breach by humpback whales took the cake. Highly recommend the company and the team.

Fabulous day. Nick was a great skipper getting us through the reef and expertly manoeuvring to drop us in the right spot to see the whale sharks. The rest of the crew were excellent too, in the water and on the boat. Thank you Ben for helping me out each time.

Such an epic day out with Exmouth Dive & Whalesharks Ningaloo! I was on their second tour of the season on the 13th of March and it totally exceeded my expectations. Huge thanks to Dickie, Ben, Georgia, Lien, and Jake - you guys are legends. Everything was incredibly well-organized, the food was great, and the hotel transfer made it completely stress-free. Seeing the whale sharks was pure magic, but getting a bonus sighting of a tiger shark and ORCAS really took it to the next level. I loved that the captain didn't rush us and gave us extra time to watch the orcas play. Plus, Jake's photos and videos on the whale shark USB are the best souvenir. Highly, highly recommend if you're in Exmouth!
