About

Anthony and Tracey Cotterell are the passionate duo behind Matters of Taste, a renowned culinary enterprise in Perth, Western Australia. With three decades of experience, they've transformed their cooking school into a multifaceted platform that's included local grocery delivery service, online membership and in-person classes. Now focusing on their popular WA food discovery tours, more people are experiencing the joy of connection with food on their plates - knowing where it comes from and how it's grown or made.

Together, Anthony and Tracey design and host personal and fascinating food tours that take you behind-the-scenes on day tours in Perth city, or multi-day tours across Western Australia and beyond. You'll experience unique insights into regional farming practices and food production, as well as a chance to meet with dedicated farmers, hospitality and retail industry experts and artisan makers.

Anthony is an ex-farmer and Tracey a professionally trained chef and teacher. Their combined know-how means every tour is packed with great stories, good food, and a real sense of connection to the land and people. You'll be tucking into delicious, down-to-earth meals made with fresh local produce, sipping regional wines, and doing it all in some pretty amazing spots—think outback firepits, old shearing sheds, and wherever else the road takes you. Together, they make a team that blends passion, practicality, and a whole lot of heart.
