This beach runs for 1.7 kilometres from Termeil Point to Meroo Head. Meroo Head features a spectacular cove and rock formation which is great for exploring and provides beautiful views. At the northern end is the entrance to Termeil Lake which is usually closed. The campgrounds at either end of the beach provide great options for an overnight stay by the beach.
lovely place BUT… my car also had the wiring chewed by rodents as others have mentioned. Apparently they are very active at this time of year. I was lucky that NRMA could repair the couple of damaged wires but others have had to get their insurance to tow them away because damage is too severe (mechanic told me to soak the wiring with “Scat” repellent which you can get from Bunnings as the best deterrent (don’t use baits because it attracts them and they might still do damage anyway)). Also, unfortunately there was rubbish left behind from other campers. But otherwise it’s very peaceful with lovely beach. Roads were ok for me going in at night jn the dark a few days after rain (this was in April 2025).

Difficult drive in on 4 km of single lane fire trail. Take care in the wet or if towing anything bigger than a single axle trailer.
The campsites are small but ideal for tent or camper trailer. Toilets are well maintained and fairly new and clean. Walks to lake or beach are easy and there is plenty of wildlife.

Close to the beach and the lake. A few kangaroos getting around. Has drop toilet. Plenty of shade and not many places for solar. Only complaint is the rubbish left behind, and some people still light fires when there is a total fire ban.

A super little camp-site. This site is in the national park and requires spots to be pre- booked. Spots are separated by bush, so it feels more private. We had plenty of space for our ute, swag, and campfire. There is a drop toilet that is well maintained and wasn't a far walk from camp. The un-patrolled beach is beautiful.

4 stars for the incredible view and secluded beach.
1 star for NPWS for their frustrating booking system which essentially locks out wandering travellers from enjoying a camp spot. What happened to first in best dressed (maximum stay of 72 hrs?). Booking SIX MONTHS in advance is akin to stealing!
What a farce.
