Museum of the Geraldton overlooks the Indian Ocean, offering an engaging exploration of the Mid West's land, sea and cultural heritage through captivating exhibits and immersive storytelling. Great place to visit to find out the history of this alms surrounding area. Well set up worth great friendly staff. And it's free
What a very interesting museum. I spent about 1 and half hours here. Very nice 3d movie of the shipwrecks. The only thing for me, being a bit deaf was the stories were a little hard to hear and I would certainly benefit from subtitles. Definitely worth a visit, it is free but there is a donation box.
What an amazing Museum showcasing the story of the Batavia and the sinking of HMAS Sydney with all hands in 1941. There are details of other shipwrecks with plenty of artifacts and objects thoughtfully displayed and documented. Allow at least two hours to browse and read the history of Geraldton and surrounds. Entry by donation.
