Silt Studio

I love doing classes at Silt. They are so patient and helpful, and I've learned so much. I love my creations and they are always finished so perfectly by the team. We enjoyed making Christmas decorations at our latest class.

I feel so lucky to live in a town that has so many wildly creative, talented, as well as kind and generous people. I am not an artist but I am a “maker” at heart and love all things creative. Finally locking in a hand-building session with a friend at the studio was the best way to start 2026 for me. It was so good I jumped at the next opportunity 2 weeks later. Quite easily the most fun 4 hours of my summer holidays. It brought me a lot of joy which is what making art should be like.

Seth and Lara have a great space at Silt with Seth providing easy instructions to create something as a pottery virgin like myself. He was patient and attentive giving easy steps. We were supported one on one when needed which gave us better confidence with the clay. A four week course is def worthwhile in getting the technique.

Had a 4h wheel session and a few weeks later coffee&clay! Amazing experiences. Seth and Lara are wonderful hosts/teachers, accomodating, pleasant and supportive. Their space is also stunning. Highly, highly recommend!
