From the towering glass spire of the Bell Tower, one of the largest musical instruments in the world fills Perth City with its chimes. The bells are the original (circa Fourteenth Century) bells of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, the parish church of Buckingham Palace in Trafalgar Square, London.
It's one of the few places on Earth where interactive demonstrations allow visitors to see the ancient art of bell ringing in action and have a go at ringing the bells.
In addition to the St. Martin bells, the Bell Tower recently installed the ANZAC Bell. It's the largest bell of its kind ever made in Australia and was cast in Perth. The ANZAC Bell is expected to last over 500 years and weighs 6,500 kilograms.
The interpretive displays share some impressive insights into the history of the bells and bell ringing. The open-air observation deck is perched on the sixth floor and boasts stunning views of the Swan River and the City.
This award-winning attraction is located in Barrack Square, where the City meets the Swan River and is just a five-minute stroll from the City Centre making it one of the most visited must-see attractions in Perth.

We had a really enjoyable experience visiting the Bell Tower in Perth and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something a bit different to do in the city. The tour itself was very informative and engaging, with a great balance between history and hands-on experience. One of the highlights was actually getting the chance to ring the bells ourselves it’s not something you get to do every day, and it made the visit feel much more memorable and interactive. The views from the upper levels were also fantastic, overlooking Elizabeth Quay and the surrounding areas, which made it a great spot for photos. You can easily spend around 30–60 minutes here without feeling rushed, and it’s well worth the time. Another thing I appreciated was how well-organised everything was. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the whole experience felt smooth from start to finish. It’s also pram-friendly, which made it much easier for us since we had a child with us always a big plus when visiting attractions. At the end of the visit, there’s a lovely gift shop with a wide variety of bells in different sizes and styles. It’s a great place to pick up a unique souvenir, and some of the designs are really beautiful. Overall, it’s a unique and enjoyable experience that combines history, views, and a bit of fun. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Perth.
The Bell Tower is truly one of Perth’s most iconic and breathtaking landmarks. I visit it at least six times every year, and somehow it never loses its charm. Every visit offers a different experience — from peaceful riverside walks during the day to the beautiful city lights glowing around the tower at night. The atmosphere around Elizabeth Quay is always vibrant, relaxing, and perfect for both locals and tourists. What surprised me the most was our recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton Perth last month. The view of the Bell Tower from our room was absolutely spectacular. Seeing the tower from above with the Swan River, city skyline, and reflections of lights across the water was unforgettable. It honestly felt like looking at a postcard view of Perth. The Bell Tower is more than just a landmark — it represents the beauty, elegance, and spirit of the city. The surrounding area is perfect for photography, evening strolls, relaxing by the waterfront, or simply enjoying Perth’s amazing scenery. I highly recommend visiting both during the day and after sunset because the experience completely changes with the lighting and atmosphere. A must-visit destination in Perth for anyone wanting to experience the city at its best.
Here’s a longer, polished review in English for you 🌿✨ ⸻ The entrance ticket costs $15 per person, and once a year the venue opens free to the public, which is a great opportunity for everyone to experience it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and interesting experience. From the top, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of Perth city, especially impressive with the skyline, river, and surrounding landscape all coming together. It’s a perfect spot to take photos, relax, and simply appreciate the beauty of the city from a different perspective. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, making it easy to spend time soaking in the view. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Perth, especially if you enjoy scenic viewpoints and unique city experiences.
The Tower Bells are a great monument to see in the center of Perth. You can see Australia's oldest bell and a musical instrument made of bells. All this in a beautifully designed modern building. Lovely view from the 6th floor. Admission is $15! The Bells: The tower houses the bells of St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in London. They were presented to Australia for its bicentenary in 1988. Some of these bells date back to the 14th century. Architecture: The tower is 82.5 meters tall. It is easily recognizable by its modern design, resembling sails made of glass and copper. It is one of the world's largest musical instruments and one of the few places where the public can try their hand at the art of bell ringing.
Lovely 1hr or so, we turned up just before 11am Wednesday 25 March 2026 bought the tickets for the 11:30 ANZAC Bell ringing Tour. We spent the 1/2 hr before visiting the 6 Levels of the tower looking at different bells. Level 6 has amazing views of Perth and Elizabeth Quey, plenty of photo opportunities. The ANZAC Tour was very informative and the Guide was wonderful, we were taught bell ringing and had a go. At 12:00 we watched the ringing of the ANZAC Bell which was amazing. If in Perth it's a well recommend visit.
