The Toodyay Miniature Railway was opened in 1996 and is owned by a local hobby club. Trains run for approximately eight to nine minutes on the one-kilometre track.
The trains run continuously throughout the day from 10am till 2pm for the trains to move away from the station.
Closed shoes must be worn.

Lovely little train ride with plenty to interest the eye, in dappled shade. Pretty river. Surprise tunnel at the end. Friendly volunteer conductor who punched my kids tickets. Bring CASH $3/kid $4 adult. One adult can stand at the side of the fence and video the train going out & back in. Bit of a queue but pleasant surrounds with playgrounds, BBQs picnic benches in shade. 1st & 3rd Sundays or Wed school hols 11am onwards. Parking aplenty, drive down little road past the station if U see none from the roadside. I found it funny there were more adults riding than kids

I was lucky the miniature railway was in action when i visited toodyay on 7 sept. Had an interesting talk with the friendly volunteers there, they've done a great job on their avonblink train, a copy of the avonlink, the colours are spot on. Very reasonable prices to go for a train ride winding around the considerable length of track near the river & the river was flowing unbelievably fast that day, great to see we have had some good rains.

A quaint little town with a fun little train set. The kids didn't want to leave. The play area and route around the miniature trains provides a nice walking trek. Great timing that we were there during market day.

Friendly volunteers. Kids loved it. Worthwhile taking the kids on the 8 minutes round trip, considering how little it cost ($10 for a family of four). Yes, adults go on the trains too. There is quite a bit to do around the area. Large park with a playground and toilet facilities. Following the train ride and a play in the playground, we walked from there down the main street - so much history in the town. Well maintained and worth a day trip from Perth.
