Tucked into 54 acres of native bushland in Quindalup, in Western Australia's Margaret River region, Wildwood Eco Retreat is an adults-only glamping escape where off-grid luxury meets the forest. Six architect-designed eco tents — Wild Bloom, Emerald Escape, Shooting Star, Ocean Echo, Golden Glow and Moon Rise — sit privately spaced through the bush, each with a king bed, private bathroom, kitchenette, air-conditioning and its own outdoor bath on a secluded deck. A newer addition, the Wildwood Shed House, brings a seventh way to stay.
Guests leave the car at the entrance and follow a short woodland path in, with pull-wagons and a golf buggy on hand for luggage, arriving somewhere the outside world properly falls away. Every tent runs on solar power and captured rainwater, so the comfort never comes at the forest's expense. Days unwind at The Steam Lodge, a wood-fired sauna and ice bath included with every stay and open through daylight hours, for guests to drift between heat, cold and quiet.
Minutes from Geographe Bay and the vineyards, beaches and forests of the wider Margaret River wine region, Wildwood is a genuine retreat rather than a sightseeing base — built for slowing down, disconnecting, and noticing the bush again. For couples after a luxurious, sustainable escape without leaving nature behind, it's hard to beat.
