Monarto Safari Park & Hahndorf / Adelaide Hills Tour
Tavel through the Adelaide Hills taking in the sights before heading to the Monarto Safari Park located approx 70 kilometres from South Australia’s capital city Adelaide and is the gateway to the picturesque Murraylands region. Coorong Adventure 6 Hour Cruise & Tour
Cruise from the port of Goolwa from the historic wharf towards the Barrages. Travel through the lock chamber, down to sea level and spot a few lazy fur seals lounging about. Then meander along the waterways of the Coorong, following the last kilometres of the mighty Murray River to the Murray Mouth and its opening to the Southern Ocean. Cruise past the Murray Mouth and into Storm Boy country, passing by the fishing village of the Coorong Shacks before landing on the beach for an optional guided walk through the dunes to the Indigenous Midden site, rich cultural interpretation and bush-tucker trail to the famous 90-Mile Beach and the roaring Southern Ocean. Learn the ‘Coorong Shuffle’ and dig for Pipi’s on the beach before returning back to the vessel. You may even get a taster of ‘Pipi’s’ before we continue our cruise past Storm Boy filming sites, towering dunes with lunch being served as we travel deep into the Coorong. The second stop is an opportunity for a guided stroll over the sand dunes into a significant Ngarrindjeri occupation/cultural site. On return to the vessel, afternoon tea is served as the boat meanders along the Coorong back to Goolwa.
