The Birkenhead Tavern is situated on the banks of the Port River, opposite the Port Adelaide Docks. Though much has changed since the tavern first opened in 1877, this stalwart pub still retains its historical character and charm. The kitchen serves up quality pub meals at prices to suit the whole family. Enjoy a bite to eat or a drink in the bistro, at the Riverview Bar or on the all-weather deck, where it's not uncommon to see some Port River dolphins putting on a show!
