Casa Carboni, is an Italian cooking school and Enoteca in the historical town of Angaston in South Australia's Barossa wine region, just under an hour's drive from Adelaide's CBD.
Casa Carboni was established in 2012 by Italian chef Matteo Carboni along with his Australian wife Fiona, after migrating to Australia from northern Italy in 2011 and is family owned and operated.
Matteo offers intimate weekly cooking classes featuring seasonal Barossa produce to create authentic Italian dishes. All classes include a welcome coffee and cake, tuition & a four-course lunch with wine. This is an incredible way to pause and spend a day reconnecting with family, friends or colleagues and meet new people under the guidance of an Italian chef.
Guests can also enjoy Matteo's delicious food by booking in for his fresh pasta & vino lunches with a limited daily menu created with local produce such as potato gnocchi with ragu alla Bolognese.
Matteo's long table dinners are a fabulous way to experience his cooking. Offered on selected Friday nights and for private events, this multi course chef's choice menu features seasonal local produce. Bookings essential.
Angaston is full of historical buildings with established trees and beautiful rose gardens, parks, independent shops, artisan producers and the famous Barossa Farmers Market is held every Saturday.
