Discovery Events - Adelaide Hills Convention Centre

Although the location was beautiful. We had issues with the venue management and the bill. The prices increased with no notification from the original agreement within 3 months of the event. Which is noted in the standard contract you sign. But the costs increased the bill over $1000 more then expected eg $35 moscato now $45 per bottle. Red wine $45 a bottle to $55 per bottle. Beer increased from $9.50 to $13 per drink! We didn’t even get an option to exclude any high priced items. They allowed guests free spirits when they were supposed to be their own cost.. and we have no come back! Plus the amount of drinks on tab seemed excessive to the amount of guests when many didn’t drink and many drove! But no come back.. It’s a disgusting price increase to have an agreement in place then, put up an unreasonable increase on the night. When the guests returned from farewell the bride n groom, all our things had moved and we had to immediately pack up everything.. even though we were advised we could collect things the next day. It was a terrible stressful end to the night. The steps down from the venue to the wedding garden were steep and felt unsafe also and there were weeds all around the car park.

We had a small (9-person) 1 day business meeting at AHCC. A very good location for such a meeting in the Adelaide Hills area. Staff were terrific in arranging meeting and on the day. The facilities were very good and we were well supported.

Dixon recently held their Business Planning Conference at the Adelaide Hills Convention Ctr and stayed in various onsite cabins through the park. A big thankyou to Jasmin, Nina and the team who made our conference and stay very streamlined and accommodating in every way from the beautiful view, the setup for the conference & meals, amazing food and the overall service. We even held our annual Corn Hole challenge there. Feedback from the attendees was faultless and I'm sure there will be a few groups heading your way with family and friends.
