About

Gorge Wildlife Park is not your average wildlife park; it's a place where people and animals get together. Under shaded trees, paths meander amongst the animals offering many relaxing hours of wildlife enjoyment.

See all of your favourite Australian animals including wombats, dingoes, echidnas and Tasmanian devils. Cuddle a koala and walk amongst the kangaroos and wallabies.

A variety of exotic animals are on display, including capybara, meerkats, otters, playful monkeys and more.

The park has a vast range of birds, from fairy wrens to ostriches and everything in between. Some are in enclosures but many fly free, including a free range colony of rainbow lorikeets.

The reptile house has a great display of reptiles, amphibians, insects and fish.

Enjoy picnic areas with free gas barbeques, kiosk and souvenir shop.

Koala viewing sessions daily at 11.30am and 2.30pm daily (subject to conditions). Private animal encounters available with our Koalas, Meerkats, Capybara, Ring-tailed Lemurs and reptiles.

If you’re planning to visit Gorge Wildlife Park by bus, here’s a helpful tip: from Tea Tree Plaza, take bus 1102. It’s a student bus, so you need to tap your card and pay directly on the bus rather than using a public transport card. The journey takes around 30 minutes, and you should get off at the stop near the restaurant. From there, it’s about an 8-minute walk to the wildlife park. For the return trip, you can take bus 1001. I arrived around 9:00 AM and took the 2:00 PM bus back. As for the wildlife park itself, it was a wonderful experience! The staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a food counter and a souvenir shop, and I got to see several animals that I had never seen before. My favourite activity was holding a koala 🐨. It costs $20 per person for around 2 minutes, and it was definitely worth it! I highly recommend visiting Gorge Wildlife Park if you’re looking for a fun and memorable experience. Definitely worth a visit! ❤️
