River Murray International Dark Sky Reserve Gold Stars Sunset Dinner Tour
In one of the darkest places on earth, Australia's very first accredited International Dark Sky Reserve tour introduces you to the stars of the region – guides of the night sky, the native wildlife and very interesting locals. Recordings of the darkness measure at 21.97 on a scale of 0 to 22. About 200-300 stars can typically be seen in Southern Hemisphere urban areas, whereas it's an estimated 5000 from your tour site, including a better view of the centre of the galaxy (the Milky Way)! Monarto Wild Gin
In 2018 Monarto Safari Park teamed up with Ambleside Distillers in Hahndorf to form an ambitious fundraising partnership. The inaugural 'Kifaru Gin' was inspired by native botanicals from the Monarto region and the limited edition of 500 bottles sold out. In early 2019 over AUD35000 from these sales had been pledged towards relocating southern white rhinos to Monarto. This partnership was crafted with a rhino-sized vision in mind, and we now celebrate the success with a behind the scenes tour of both venues. Take your sense of adventure to the next level as you experience Australia's only 360 degree lion encounter, giving you a prey's eye view into the world of these awe-inspiring predators. Enjoy a jaw-dropping, absolutely safe encounter knowing this hair-raising and unique experience will help Monarto Safari Park continue their work as a conservation charity raising awareness for all endangered species. Witness the breath taking beauty of the night sky, guided by an impressive laser pointer unveiling a celestial spectacle of stars, planets and galaxies.
Jurlique Farm Tour & Hills Long Lunch
Nestled in the stunning Adelaide Hills countryside, immerse yourself in nature and science for 90 magnificent minutes touring the Farm home to Jurlique - one of the world's most recognised skincare products. Renowned for using the best in organic and biodynamic ingredients, discover where many of the herbs, flowers and plants are grown for this popular international brand. Your guided tour allows the unique opportunity to see the display garden, seed propagation area, biodynamic preparation area, and herb drying shed. Be amazed at the history of Jurlique, how seedlings and plants are propagated, plant varieties and their uses, biodynamic farming principles, soil fertility and compost production, harvest process and bee keeping.
