The Book Nest Mudgee

Just opened up this great little book store is only going to get better. People that run the place are super friendly and knowledgeable! Was great to browse, see a cross section of Australian and international authors as well as quirky gifts! When in Mudgee, make sure you stop in, say hi and pick something up!!!

I’m travelling through for business and had to stop in to see what the only bookstore in Mudgee was selling. The store was aesthetic, well-stocked and clearly loved. You can tell that the staff have a great rapport with locals (shown by the fact they were literally being gifted biscuits when I was walking in!). Rhys was lovely and so helpful with picking out a few new crime books from the store. It should be noted however that he is a crime author himself and DIDN’T upsell his own book!! Have to order it ASAP through the online store now. #SupportLocal Thanks for the great experience!!

That a small country town can support a well-stocked bookshop is a triumph. Well curated selection and very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Walked in for a specific type of murder mystery game which the friendly store lady located for me plus it was on sale! Then had a browse of the books on sale because I couldn't help myself and ended up going with a recommendation from the store lady. It was so lovely for someone to be invested in helping you choose something that matches your style and when I was in the store earlier I could hear her doing this with another customer as well so bravo on the customer service.
