About

Gateway to the charming Adelaide Hills, Stirling is just 18 kms south-east of Adelaide. A stylish garden village with a flourishing food scene and fabulous shopping for plants, jewellery, homewares, art and books at the unique shops.

The leafy main street is lined with cafes, restaurants and shops. Matilda's Bookshop, Red Cacao, La Vienne, Miss Perez, Marshi's Kitchen, and Stirling Hotel are favourites among locals. 29 Milan, a stylish homewares store, is just a block away.

A bustling monthly market is held on the fourth Sunday of each month (different in December) between 10:00 and 16:00, right in Druid Avenue.

From September to April, the Laneways of the town are bursting with colour and vibrancy, live entertainment and pop-up market stalls. The Laneways runs at the same time as the Stirling Market.

The Coventry library, set right on the main street, in a lovely park is a great, modern and beautiful space.

Settled in 1854, Stirling has some of the state's most beautiful homes. Initially the site of orchards and market gardens, the late 19th century saw the town become popular with Adelaide's wealthy residents who built summer houses.

Culinary adventure also awaits at Sticky Rice Cooking School which has three luxury villas or stay in the architecturally designed Lucent Art House surrounded by original works of art, all available for purchase.

Accommodation can also be found at the historic and beautiful Stirling Hotel, The Lake House, The Retreat, Stirling Creek Cottage, Stirling Castle and more!

Nearby Woorabinda Lake is part of Woorabinda Bushland Reserve, a 34-hectare park with excellent walking trails. Steamroller Park is popular with families.
