First time visiting this beautiful South Australian icon and we loved it! Great prices, friendly staff, and tons of activities for both kids and adults. The wildlife park was surprisingly big with a wonderful variety of animals. Climbing the rocking horse and playing mini-golf were super fun. A perfect school holiday highlight for the kids!

I stopped by the Big Rocking Horse during a trip to the Adelaide Hills and it was a nice, relaxing experience. The giant rocking horse itself is quite unique and makes for a fun photo spot. You can even climb to the top for a view of the surrounding area, which is worth doing.
There’s also a small wildlife park behind it where you can see and feed animals like kangaroos, goats, and alpacas. It’s not a large park, but it’s a nice bonus, especially if you’re visiting with friends or family.
The gift shop is another highlight, with a good range of wooden toys and souvenirs. Everything felt well-kept and the atmosphere was calm and friendly.
Overall, it’s not a place you would travel far just to see, but it’s definitely worth a stop if you’re already exploring the area. I’d say plan to spend around 30 to 60 minutes here. It’s a simple but enjoyable attraction that adds a bit of variety to your Adelaide Hills trip.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
At first, I found the place far from the city, but it worth it every mile traveled. Adelaide Hills is a very beautiful region and the way relieves any stress from the big city.
In addition to enjoying the beautiful view of the big horse, the children were delighted with the birds (who said “Hello” by the way), had a lot of fun on the playground, could observe closely and feed the animals raised there (all very friendly but the alpacas really come for the food). Kids just didn’t want to go home!
Finally, we found a diversity of snacks available in the café. The cheeseburger was amazing.
A big THANK YOU to the wonderful staff for having us e for running this familiar business with so much care. Can’t wait to visit you again.

Great place for families to visit. The big rocking horse which can be climbed on, a cafe, store with all sorts of things to buy. Mini golf and an animal park where you can feed the alpacas, goats and other animals. Plenty of loos, and a picnic area (which needs to be better maintained). Loos are accessible, however, the park and most of the area would be difficult to negotiate.
