Tuross Lake at Tuross Head, on the Eurobodalla South Coast, is part of a complex waterway formed where the Tuross River meets the ocean. This generous, sheltered lake is a favourite for fishing, boating, kayaking and other calm-water activities.
It offers plenty of paddling for all skill levels, and is especially good for beginner and novice paddlers. Explore protected corners scattered with estuaries and islands, and soak up the magnificent surrounds. Birdlife and wildlife are plentiful, and you may spot kangaroos and emus along the way.
Part of an extensive lake and river system, Tuross Lake is also a haven for recreational fishing, so bring a line as well as a paddle. When you're done on the water, historic boatsheds on Trafalgar Road and waterfront restaurants make a great spot to finish the day.
