At Great Barrier Reef Scenic Flights, flying is more than the point; it's a moving tribute to one of Earth's most spectacular marine treasures.
Based in Cairns, the experienced team blends aviation expertise with a deep love for the reef and its inhabitants. Flights are in purpose-built, air-conditioned aircraft, placing guests in the best seat to spot turtles, manta rays, dugongs, sharks, and migrating whales. With every journey, the aim is to inspire conservation and connection, because when the reef is seen from above, its wonder, beauty, and importance become impossible to ignore.

The Great Barrier Reef stretches from Papua New Guinea to Fraser Island in the south-east of Queensland, and is the world's biggest single structure made by living organisms. Encompassing numerous coral reefs and sand cays, this natural aquarium is home to a wide variety of fish species, types of hard corals and a significant portion of the world's soft corals. During the Reef Scenic Flight, guests fly over Green Island, a picturesque coral cay situated northeast of Cairns. The marine life spotting is a highlight of the Reef Scenic Flights. Manta rays, large green turtles, dugong, sharks and at certain times of the year whales can often be seen clearly from the aircraft.
