Wingello Forest Campground

Awesome spot. The forest has been cultivated and cleaned up. The night sky was magic. Just as clear as anywhere I've been in Oz. Great tracks to bike ride or drive around to see the views. All marked in navigation systems, so hard to get lost. Just be sensible. Some are extremely overgrown. Plus some are blocked off by the forestry. Mountain bike circuit close by. The main camp is new with three areas. One for tents. Two for camper or caravans. One long drop toilet, bring spare paper. Bring all your own water. Take all your rubbish out. A great kids playground. Some tables. Fire pits allowed, season permitting. A short bike circuit around the camp for riding or a walk. Others were camping in the forest areas if they were cleared enough.

Great spot to get off grid with a tent, camper, or caravan. There is plenty of space to spread out and have a fire, you will have to collect your own timber. Restrooms on-site that are well maintained and regularly cleaned. Also mountain bike and walking trails close by, 4wd tracks everywhere as well

I enjoyed place where it's nearly off the grid, very peaceful. Great to make your own fire and cook your food there. Staying in a tent and a bed in there was nice, even when raining it's a nice place.

Camp-site is well looked after, clean and accomodates all tyes of camping. Clean toilets. There is just little to no shade(bring some with you). Great base camp!
