Walcha; located in the scenic New England High Country, at the cross roads of the Oxley Highway and Thunderbolts Way - two drives offering stunning scenery.

The World Heritage listed National Parks and wilderness areas surrounding Walcha offer some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia. They are surprisingly easy to access including Oxley Wild Rivers National Park (Apsley Falls and Tia Falls) and Werrikimbe National Park.

Enjoy these magnificent parks, with picnic areas, scenic drives, camping, fishing, swimming and bush walking aplenty, from a leisurely stroll to the more challenging four day trek on the award winning Green Gully Track.

The artistic aspect of Walcha is fabulous, the renowned permanent Open Air Gallery consists of over 55 sculptures from local, national and international artists. This cultural, picturesque, historic town has excellent cafes, pubs, restaurants and accommodation, a museum, art gallery, craft, gift, antique and boutique shops.
