Wellbeing and Apnea programs

At Margaret River Surfing Academy, they go beyond surf instruction by offering innovative wellbeing and apnea programs designed to strengthen both body and mind. Drawing on the ocean's natural power to calm, challenge, and heal, theirr programs are grounded in evidence-based mental health principles and led by Simon Tien— who holds a Master's degree in Mental Health, is a registered paramedic, and experienced big wave surfer.

Their wellbeing programs are tailored for individuals, schools, and corporate groups, focusing on stress management, resilience, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. Through a unique combination of surfing, ocean immersion, and facilitated group reflection, participants gain tools to improve mental fitness in everyday life.

Complementing this, the training focuses on developing breath control, calmness under pressure, and confidence in the water. These sessions—ideal for surfers, freedivers, or anyone seeking to enhance their physical and mental performance—teach participants how to push their limits while remaining grounded and focused safely.
