Your journey begins with a guided visit to our Command Vineyard, planted in 1894 — one of the oldest and most celebrated Shiraz vineyards in the world. From there, you'll be welcomed into our elegant Founders Tasting Room, where a knowledgeable Elderton team member will lead you through a curated selection of our most prestigious estate-grown wines, including rare releases accompanied by a selection of locally sourced cheeses.

Throughout the experience, you'll gain a deeper understanding of our winemaking philosophy, vineyard history, and the elements that define Elderton's reputation for excellence in the Barossa and beyond.

Command Vertical Tasting

Command is often regarded as one of Australia's best and most highly acclaimed wines. Accolades have come from the world over for vintages such as the 1992, which was chosen by the influential wine critic Robert Parker in his U.S. magazine the Wine Advocate as one of the world's Top 80 wines. The 1995 Command was awarded 95points by Wine Spectator and placed in their Top 100 wines; the 2000 was awarded 97 points by the same magazine and placed 27 in their Top 100. The 1996 Command won the trophy for the Best Shiraz in the World at the London International Wine and Spirit Competition. This is your opportunity to see how four consecutive vintages from 2019 -2022 have evolved and translate to the glass.
