Enjoy a unique and fascinating journey of discovery of Yalumba’s Cooperage; the only on-site winery Cooperage in Australia and one of five in the world. Our Cooperage experience begins with a short introduction of the winery and our family owners the Hill-Smiths. Enjoy a rare insight into the craft of wine barrel making, a tradition that has been happening at Yalumba for over 100 years. Depending on the time of year you may see firsthand the Coopers hard at work preparing or maintaining wine barrels for Yalumba’s fine wines*. Return to our Wine Room for a tasting with our Ambassador of five wines from the portfolio, featuring varieties iconic to both Yalumba and Barossa. Children will instead receive a Yalumba Colouring Pack and Trevallie Orchard treat. *Cooper's not onsite Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays

At Yalumba we have over 17 years of winemaking and as the oldest family run winery in Australia, they would like nothing more than sharing their rich history and wine knowledge with you. Be lead on a private tour of their grounds, historic buildings and unique Yalumba Cooperage. Join one of their Yalumba Wine Ambassadors in a tasting of Yalumba's finest wines. This private tour concludes with a Cooper's Platter of local artisanal produce to enjoy under their Wine Room Verandah (weather permitting) or can be enjoyed in the cooler months by their Wine Room fire.5

They are extremely proud of their Yalumba grounds and look forward to sharing them with you through their Yalumba Estate Picnic.
