The Accelerated Freefall course at Hillman Farm takes complete beginners to solo skydiving in five days, with no previous experience or tandem jump required. Courses start every Wednesday morning, all year round, with a maximum of four students.
The course begins with a full day of ground school covering equipment, freefall body position, canopy flight, landings and emergency procedures. Over the following days, students complete ten progressive skydives. Two instructors fly alongside each student in freefall for the first stages, and students deploy, steer and land their own parachute from the very first jump, guided by radio from the ground. Video debriefs follow every jump.
Course students stay on site in the bunkhouse or campground, with hot showers and a sauna, and parachute packing lessons are included. The course is the first step towards a skydiving licence recognised around the world, which is awarded on performance rather than a set number of jumps. Students must be at least 16 years old, with guardian consent for those under 18, and a weight limit applies.

A tandem skydive at Hillman Farm is the easiest way to experience freefall, with no experience or training needed. Each guest is harnessed to a qualified tandem instructor, who handles the parachute and guides every step of the jump. After a briefing of around 20 minutes, guests board the aircraft for the climb to jump altitude. Guests can choose a lower jump with a short burst of freefall, or the full-altitude jump from 14,000 feet with around 60 seconds of freefall at up to 200 kilometres per hour, with views across the farmland, forests and lakes of the South West and Wheatbelt. Once the parachute opens, there are a few peaceful minutes under canopy before a gentle landing on the airfield, right in front of waiting friends and family. Video and photo packages let guests relive the jump and share it. Tandem skydivers must be at least 16 years old, with parental consent for those under 18, and a weight limit applies for safety.
