Solitary Bee Hotel Workshop

Discover the fascinating world of Australia's native bees at our Solitary Bee Hotel Workshop.

Hosted by native bee expert Ian Driver from A Green Soul Native Bees, this hands-on session introduces you to the remarkable diversity of Australia's native pollinators – with around 2,000 species found across the country. Learn how solitary bees live, why they are important for healthy ecosystems and how simple changes in your garden can help attract them.

Participants will build and take home their own native bee hotel, creating a safe nesting space to encourage these hardworking pollinators to visit your backyard.

After the workshop, relax on the Ipswich Visitor Information Centre deck and enjoy a classic Devonshire tea, complete with fresh scones, sweet treats and locally roasted coffee.

It's a delightful blend of nature, learning and country-style hospitality – and a chance to see your garden in a whole new way.
