About

Nestled in the picturesque village of Murrumbateman, The Vintner's Daughter isn't your average boutique winery. It's a labour of love and a celebration of family, helmed by the dynamic husband and wife duo, Steph Helm—winemaker—and Ben Osborne—viticulturist. Steph began her winemaking journey at just nine years old, learning from her father, Ken Helm. She now crafts exceptional wines that are as unique as her story.

With vines dating back to 1978 and neighbouring some of Murrumbateman's most renowned vineyards, Ben & Steph have created a thriving vineyard ecosystem with native plantings and a menagerie of animals, including rare Babydoll sheep grazing through the vines.

Visitors can enhance their experience with bookable guided wine tastings, farm tours and behind-the-scenes vineyard experiences, including time with the Babydoll sheep and other animals that support vineyard health. On-site e-bike hire also offers a relaxed way to explore the local region.

Enjoy flagship Canberra District varieties such as Riesling and Shiraz, alongside innovative styles including Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Rosé, Sparkling Chardonnay and Fortified Shiraz. All wines are produced on-site.

This is a true family-owned and operated business committed to a sustainable approach from vine to glass. Come for the wine, stay for the experience, and leave with a deeper appreciation for boutique winemaking. Wine tastings and sales available Friday to Sunday, with booking slots for tours available via the website.
