Port Stephens Surf School is located at four perfect locations - One Mile Beach, Fingal Bay Beach, Birubi Beach, and Anna Bay in the blue water wonderland of Port Stephens. Meet the friendly staff and let the professional, fully qualified and experienced instructors guide you through the thrills and spills of surfing!
All instructors are highly experienced and Accredited Surfing Australia Level 1 coaches, providing you with the very best instructions to help make your surfing experience a memorable one. The instructors are in the water with you the whole time, helping you every step of the way. There is one instructor to eight students for group lessons.
If you have always wanted to try it, come on. Book in today, for your introductory lesson - you will love it! Lessons run daily but you will need to book your lesson before arriving at the beach.

All Beginner Surf Lessons are guided by the professional team of accredited Surfing Australia coaches. They start you off in waist deep water and will help you every step of way! Learn To Surf lessons and Stand Up Paddle tours/lessons available all year round. Surf board, body board, stand up paddle board and beach equipment hire available.

Had a really great time with josh in the water! booked a private lesson together with my girlfriend and couldn't be happier about it. we learned how to find a good spot to surf on a beach, how to identify rips and afterwards we went into the water, where we got instant feedback after every wave. josh was a very cool and lovely instructor, who even gave us some sightseeing tipps for our trip around the area. really fun and helpful experience overall.

Great surf lesson, Troy is an excellent teacher. He gave thorough and clear training on the basics of surfing (as well as safety briefing on how to spot and escape rip tides) before we went in. In the water he gave clear instructions and always easy to understand feedback on how to improve next time. Really nice vibe about the place too.

Had an amazing private lesson with the coach Troy. Very professional and kind person, surfing and learning was a huge pleasure!! I loved the practical approach. Additionally the beach at Anna Bay was so far the best spot I surfed in. Highly recommend!!!

Can't thank Luke and the team enough for a awesome experience for my 9 year old daughters first time learning to surf. The coaches were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced making sure everyone felt enouraged and supported. The vibes were fun making everyone feel super comfortable and getting rid of those pre nerve Jitters. We will definitely be back.
