I did a double boat dive with Beneath the Bay and had an absolutely amazing experience. Communication with Tammy was fantastic — I booked last minute and she was super accommodating. The dives themselves were incredible. Mick, Sandra, and Dan have excellent local knowledge of all the best spots. We dived Cathedral and Shark Gutter, where we saw around 14 Grey Nurse Sharks! Mick and Sandra were our DMs and kept everyone safe and comfortable throughout. The whole operation ran smoothly and professionally— great well equipped double hull boat with plenty of space, well-maintained equipment, and an awesome surface interval spread with fresh gourmet wraps, biscuits, lollies, coffee, tea, and hot soup. Overall, an outstanding experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back! They’ll soon be offering guided shore and night dives too, which I’m already looking forward to. Edit: I had such an awesome experience with Beneath the Bay crew on my first visit that I came back for a whole weekend — and it was absolutely worth it! Saturday: I did a double boat dive and loved it again! I really appreciate how they run their dives with multiple divemasters. When someone runs low on air, they’re safely escorted back to the boat, and those with more efficient air consumption can continue the dive with the other DMs. Such a great system — I love not having to surface with 140+ bar still left! 😄 They’ve truly thought of everything. There’s even a fresh water rinse tub for people who have a long drive home, so you can wash your gear before hitting the road. Super handy! Sunday: I joined their new shore dives (two dives) — so awesome! We swam through some cool little cave passages, saw the biggest wobbegong I’ve ever encountered, rays, and even a very friendly big blue groper. Mick and Tam really go out of their way to make the whole experience enjoyable and comfortable. They’ve genuinely considered every detail. Very very highly recommend!!

Top-tier diving with Beneath the Bay Scuba Diving. Mick, Tammy, and the team are absolute pros, calm, switched on, and clearly very good at what they do. Excellent briefings, smooth logistics, and a relaxed confidence that instantly puts you at ease in the water. No fuss, no ego, just solid local knowledge, great diving, and a team that genuinely cares about doing it properly. Exactly the kind of operation you want when you’re trusting people with your safety, and your fun. Would dive with them again in a heartbeat.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – Exceptional Service and Training We recently completed our Open Water dive training with Beneath The Bay, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience. From the very first phone call, Tammy and Mick were outstanding. They were consistently organised, responsive, and flexible, which made a huge difference given my busy work schedule. Every email was clear and to the point, and all of our dive gear was prepared ahead of time without us ever having to chase things up. Tom and Emily, our instructors, came down from Canberra for the weekend and were brilliant. Professional, patient, and supportive, they set us up really well for our upcoming trip to Lady Elliot Island. The whole process of completing our PADI requirements was straightforward and well communicated. We feel extremely fortunate to have a local business that operates with this level of care, planning, and clear communication. A+ in every respect. Highly recommend.

If you are within 2 hours, it is worth the drive for the dive! The team (Tammy, Dan, Tony, and Mick) were top-notch. I was visiting the area for week and finally decided to go on a dive last minute. I called the shop and I spoke with Tammy who was very friendly and opened the booking back up for me so I could dive with them. The next day I drove down and met the dive boat. The boat crew (Dan, Tony, and Mick) took great care of us divers. We dove two sites with a snack in between! I can’t say enough about this dive shop. Be sure to check out the local area also! If I’m ever back in the area, I will definitely be diving with Beneath The Bay again.
