Argalong Trail Rides are a perfect way to enjoy the natural scenery and wildlife of the Argalong Ranges, located in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains and only a short drive from Tumut, and all on horseback. Argalong Trail Rides aim to please with breathtaking views and fresh local produce if you decide to also partake in one of their meals along with their billy teas.
The experienced staff and horses aim to give you the experience of a lifetime. Argalong Trail Rides is located on a working cattle and horse property where they like to provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with good old-fashioned hospitality for all ages to enjoy.
No experience is required, as rides are catered for all levels of riding experience, and their trail leaders will ensure that you achieve the best ride to your ability, in a safe and controlled manner.

Donna kindly accommodated us with a fairly last minute booking. A wonderful 1 hour trail ride with Derek and Kaz. Having not ridden for sometime we were given 2 beautiful horses with perfect temperaments and enjoyed a very safe, relaxing ride across the property and through the nearby state forest. It is very obvious that the horses are well cared for and the business is also run by friendly, genuine people as opposed to the commercial operations you sometimes experience. Definitely recommend.

Sadly we were unable to get to Argalong to ride but I wanted to post a review to acknowledge how incredibly helpful Donna was. I first emailed her back in December and for the past few weeks have been asking questions re different rides, accommodation, travel etc. Donna had consistently been responsive and very helpful. If she is representative of her stables I can only imagine riding / staying at Argalong would be a fantastic experience and that we have missed out !

Was absolutely amazing. The horses were very sweet and gentle which was very good for not experienced riders like my mum and I. The view and ride was spectacular. Donna was so kind and accomodating and the rest of the staff were kind and made the day feel amazing. The food tasted magnificent and I’ll be definitely returning!

Donna and family are the most welcoming and accommodating people. We had an incredible experience with the trail ride and dinner! Donna is quite the cook! We enjoyed our dinner with a stunning view and lovely company! Before dinner we got to enjoy a walk down to the river and take in the views and watch the animals and the world go by! We were grateful to stay overnight and it was the perfect way to end our getaway! Thank you so much for accommodating us and being so wonderful along the way. We can't wait for our next adventure down and be able to book again! ❤️ Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to book!

Donna and Angie really looked after us, So friendly it was like ld known them for years. We rode to all the scenic spots .. The property is stunning. Not sure if they arranged the butterfly's everywhere lol but it really did add to the magic of the experience. Cabin was rustic and charming. Out side toilet and shower. Beautiful meals prepared by Tayla and great entertainment provided by Wyatt.. The littlest cowboy lve every met! Awesome Country people birthday experience, something to remember. I can't wait to go back !! PS no WiFi .. and you won't miss it a bit!
