Aussie Bird Tours caters to birders of every level. They are experts in small, private and customised birding tours. Specialising in local Sydney bird tours and NSW, ensuring you find the best locations and birds. All tours are listed on the website.

Half, full-day and multi-day birding tours are on offer, located on Sydney's northern beaches. Designed for all types of birdwatchers: beginners, listers, photographers and twitchers. Hosted and guided by Mike Barrow, a passionate and professional birder.

Half-day morning tours cover a variety of habitats: coastal lagoon, rock shelf platform, swamp mahogany wetland, sub-tropical rainforest and classic Aussie bush. Guests can expect to see from 40- 60 different bird species. Binoculars, bird books and expert advice are all provided.

Tours run all year round. Private tours on request. Full-day tours to Newcastle, Royal National Park and many more. Overnight tours to Capertee Valley.

Beach to Bush Half Day Tour

Four hours of discovering birds at Dee Why Lagoon, Long Reef and Warriewood Wetlands. Bring a sense of adventure as you listen and look for the various bird species inhabiting the local lagoon. Keep your eyes open for predatory birds such as the osprey and brown goshawk. Fairywrens, wattlebirds, honeyeaters, egrets, cormorants and a variety of duck species all live in and around the lagoon. You'll take a short drive to Warriewood Wetlands to look for the abundant honeyeater species and small bush birds in a classic Aussie bush habitat. Expect to see at least 40 different species of birds. Tour runs from 7 am-11 am.

Bush to Wetland Half Day Tour

Four hours of discovering birds at Chiltern Trail and Warriewood Wetlands. Chiltern Trail to look for the abundant honeyeater species and small bush birds in a classic Aussie bush habitat. A short drive to Warriewood Wetlands. Bring a sense of adventure as you listen and look for the various bird species inhabiting the local wetlands. Keep your eyes open for predatory birds such as the brown goshawk, fairywrens, wattlebirds, honeyeaters, spoonbill, cormorants, and a variety of duck species all live in and around the wetlands. Expect to see at least 40 different species of birds. Tour runs from 7 am-11 am.

Long Reef is known for its wading birds and migrants such as turnstones, plovers and stints. Look for offshore seabirds. You'll take a short drive to Warriewood Wetlands. Look for birds such as the grey goshawk, fairywrens, wattlebirds, honeyeaters, spoonbill, cormorants and ducks. Expect to see at least 40 different species of birds. Tour runs from 7 am-11 am.

Northern Beaches Sydney - multi habitat day tour

Nine hours of discovering birds around Sydney's northern beaches. Habitats include Dee Why Lagoon (coastal saltwater lagoon), Long Reef (coastal rock shelf), Warriewood Wetlands (swamp mahogany wetland), Irrawong Reserve (sub-tropical rainforest), Chiltern Trail (classic Aussie bush), McCarrs Creek (inland saltwater river) and some local secret spots. A variety of bird species will be seen on this Big Day of birding including: honeyeaters, egrets, fairywrens, wattlebirds, cormorants, waders, egrets, ducks, gerygones, birds of prey, cockatoos, parrots, lorikeets and many more. This is birding at its best in a variety of habitats all within a short walk/drive of each other. Expect to see 60-80 different species of birds. Tour runs from 7am- 4pm
