Private Climbing Instruction and Guiding

Private Climbing Instruction and Guiding

At the Blue Mountains Climbing School they enjoy sharing experiences as much as they enjoy sharing knowledge, and so they offer unique guided climbing trips as well as their courses. The Blue Mountains holds some of Australia’s best and most historic climbing. It is always a joy to share it. They specialise in private groups and in tailoring the trip to the group’s needs and experience (regardless of whether that be advanced or just starting out). Generally, they can put together an adventurous trip regardless of peoples age, skills, mobility, or ability. Everything from top roping close to the car through to remote multi pitch trad climbs. If you are uncertain, please feel free to get in touch so they can work with you to put together the perfect trip. It goes without saying that quality equipment, lunch, and pre-trip advice all go along with their highly skilled guide. All of their courses are set against the beautiful backdrop of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, with golden sandstone cliffs and gum tree gullies as their classroom.

Accessible Adventures in the Blue Mountains

At Blue Mountains Climbing School, we believe everyone deserves access to adventure. Whether you’re new to outdoor activities or a seasoned adventurer, our Accessible Adventures will help you connect with nature, challenge yourself, and make unforgettable memories. We focus on dignity, safety, and inclusivity, so you can feel confident every step of the way. If you prefer something brief, our half-day trips are perfect for spending quality time with loved ones. These can include climbing, abseiling, or an exciting tyrolean traverse. We adjust the experience to fit your needs and pace, creating a fun and supportive environment. These shorter trips offer an excellent introduction to outdoor activities without requiring a full-day commitment. On the other hand, if you’re ready for more adventure, we offer multi-day trips. These journeys combine climbing, abseiling, canyoning, and more. Our guides work with you to create a custom itinerary, matching your abilities and goals. With stunning views all around, you’ll be able to push your limits, gain new skills, and enjoy every moment.

Best day ever. A local who knows all the guides told us a day with Hugh is flying first class - 100% right. He’s taught half the climbing community, amazingly qualified and is a bit of a local legend. For a nervous first timer, having Hugh there to coach, skilfully guide and manage fears was an absolute game changer. I felt 100% safe and supported at all times in our private booking. He is intuitive, wise, kind, humble, funny and you couldn’t find a nicer human. Serendipity Canyon exceeded anything we could have imagined and is truly unforgettable - Jurassic trees, sandstone towers, green for days. Every moment Hugh had a plan, guiding each step through the tough parts, even being my hold-on-point on scrambles, back up plans to make every minute safe and fun. With a slowly reforming fear of heights, Hugh sat with me talking me through one (optional) jump into the water with the kind of patient wisdom you rarely witness. I could not recommend Blue Mountains Climbing School more deeply and unreservedly to you. Book now, you’ll never look back. So thankful we found this place!
