The team at blue bay divers are knowledgeable, accomodating, and know how to provide a great experience. We did one day scuba diving, and a second day freediving with them. Both days were nothing short of amazing Thank you Christina and the team for guiding us and making this a trip to remember. See you next year!
Went out on a whale watching adventure as part of a group of 4. They turned the weather on for us. Couldn’t have been more calm. Mark and Marlyn were fantastic. Informative but not intrusive. Mark found us plenty of whales and at very close quarters. The boat was just right. All in all, a fantastic day, and I would highly recommend this tour.
Everyone at Blue Bay Divers are brilliant. From Christina taking bookings and sorting out all the paperwork to the lads on the boat with tens of years diving at Julian Rocks. The are so helpful, knowledgeable and offer the best snorkeling, freediving or scuba diving tour for money. You get to spend a total of 3 hours at Julian Rocks. They are very honest and sensible and only go out when it’s safe to do so and fun for all the participants. They are an excellent company to use if you want long a longer trip or are a photographer with experience gear. Their experience and knowledge is PRICELESS and I would definitely recommend them. :)
I dived with Blue Bay divers on January 4 2026. I booked a double boat dive. I was previously and on site in contact with Christina who is a lovely person, very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. Also after the dive Christina asked me how I liked the dive and thanked me for coming. However, the man with the long hair of the crew (I do not know his name as he did not introduce himself) was the opposite. Not welcoming at all, unfriendly and seemed to be irritated and rushed. He had a commando my tone which felt unnecessary to me. Maybe he had a bad day, but I felt not at ease with him. He was moody, made weird jokes that did not seem like jokes, and when I made (seemingly small) mistakes I felt a bit judged. I had trouble with my buoyancy during the first dive because air got trapped in my BCD and I could not release it - which was my fault - but I kicked quite hard to stay low in the water and not resurface but in my efforts to do so I lost a fin in the process. I saw that a fellow diver caught it luckily below me. When I resurfaced I felt that I got reprimanded for loosing the fin which added to my experienced stress from the mistake. He also was talking quite fast and as a non native speaker I sometimes had trouble processing all the information that was provided. The other crew members on the boat were very nice and I had a good time with them! Trent provided me with a much needed hoodie (because it was a cold dive for me, I was used to sites with warmer waters) and Ollie was a great guide. The diving site had not so great visibility but this was just bad luck. I saw leopard sharks, turtles and an octopus. All in all: Thanks for the dive! Maybe the attitude of the man can be taken into account for the following people booking the dive.
My partner and I went for a douboe dive with the crew at blue bay. A solid recomendation from the team down at mullaway (Dive Quest). A small time operated boat with long term experience. Also the only dive boat to offer a double dive without the faff of dragging the boat back to the shop in between dives. Shaun the dive master did a great job of showing us round without overly rushing things. These guys are the best way to do julien rocks. As for the dive site itself its some of the best diving we have done in australia for megafauna. Turtles, rays, manta and sharks.
