About

GirlsTrek is a female-founded and female-led company that has run guided hiking trips exclusively for women since 2010. Its small-group trips, for up to 12 women, run for 3 to 5 days across NSW, including Kangaroo Valley, the Snowy Mountains and the Blue Mountains, with further trips around Australia and overseas. Most guests are aged 40 and over, and many travel solo. Each trip is graded for fitness, from easy walking to challenging trekking, so women can choose the right level. Trips combine guided walks on well-known trails such as the Kiama Coastal Trail, the Snowies Alpine Walk and the Six Foot Track, with stays at family-run accommodation, dinners at local restaurants, and time with local producers. Experienced guides handle every detail, so guests can walk, talk and connect.

Wine!

Hunter Valley Walking and Wine

It’s only fitting that GirlsTrek would design one of the Walking and Wine experiences in Australia’s oldest wine region, which boasts over 150 wineries. With the first vines planted back in 1820, this area offers much more than just its rich grape harvest! This is a gentle itinerary perfect for first-time trekkers or those who prefer a more relaxed pace. You’ll stay at the luxurious Spicers Guesthouse, one of their favourite hotel partners, and savour meals at their award-winning restaurants. To wrap up your adventure, enjoy a delightful cooking school experience and a leisurely lunch on the final day, complete with recipes to recreate and share with loved ones at home.

Kayaking on the Kangaroo Valley River

Kangaroo Valley

Kangaroo Valley is a picturesque, gently sloping valley nestled amid the towering mountains of New South Wales' Southern Highlands. GirlsTrek has crafted an itinerary designed to showcase the region’s stunning landscapes, locally sourced produce from regenerative farms, and charming boutique accommodations. Embracing the “shop local” mantra, they focus on dining and staying at family-run, owner-operated establishments, from Moss Vale to Kiama on the coast. A standout feature of this itinerary is a half-day paddle on the serene Kangaroo River.

Girls Trek - Noosa June 2025 • Friends What an incredible experience! I joined a GirlsTrek walk this morning through Noosa National Park with two of my gorgeous friends and amazing group of women. It was so much more than I expected. We spent three hours hiking through the most stunning natural scenery, with the landscape constantly changing and the flora and fauna putting on a show. Our guides, Lisa and Amanda, were fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging throughout the trek. We pause for a mindful moment of breathwork, feeling our feet on the earth, anchoring ourselves in the present. With each deep breath in, we connect to our heart, softening into stillness. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, we allow ourselves to simply be calm, grounded, and present. The hike was full-on, with plenty of ups and downs to keep it interesting and challenging, and after three hours we were happy to stop at the lookout for a lovely morning tea. Such a thoughtful touch to end the trek and a great way to pause and take it all in. We finished with an easy stroll back to our vehicles, feeling refreshed and accomplished. I would defiantly recommend the Girls Trek for any of the treks they do globally. Well organised, supportive and a beautiful connection to nature. Love this morning so. much, thank you
