Experience Australian wildlife where it belongs-out in the wild, not behind enclosures-on a Wildlife Safari exploring three distinct habitats near Byron Bay.
Journey through eucalyptus forest, lush rainforest and open grassland, each offering a unique window into the region's native species. Sightings are all but guaranteed, with koalas, kangaroos, flying fox colonies and diverse birdlife regularly encountered. With the right conditions, you may also spot pademelons, echidnas, tawny frogmouths and water dragons.
Travel comfortably in an eight-seater 4WD, guided by an environmental scientist who brings each landscape-and its wildlife-to life. Along the way, enjoy a picnic lunch featuring locally sourced produce.
You'll also gain a deeper understanding of the subtle differences between species-like kangaroos and wallabies, or the grey-headed and black flying fox.
Birdlife is a standout, with everything from colourful parrots and kookaburras to magpies, currawongs, wrens and robins making an appearance.
Operated by award-winning eco-tourism specialists Vision Walks, this experience is grounded in respect for nature. Wildlife is observed, not disturbed-so if you're after a genuine, ethical encounter, you're in the right place.

My husband and I had the most incredible experience—truly unlike anything we’ve ever done. We arrived right at opening and had the park completely to ourselves, which made it feel so peaceful and almost magical. We spent about an hour driving through and another 45 minutes walking, and every moment felt special. You can genuinely tell the animals are deeply cared for, their wellbeing really shows. We especially loved that the animals are rescued and that it’s a nonprofit organization. It makes the experience feel even more meaningful. Such a unique, memorable experience, we’ll definitely be back!!
This was an amazing experience. We took our 2-year old toddler. We spent one afternoon walking through the village, and then did the drive-thru including the feed cups for the deer and emu and other critters (recommend at least 2cups). The next day we did the cheetah, giraffe, elephant experiences. It was awesome! All of the animals are so cool! The staff was all so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We will be returning many times I am sure.
We came here multiple times through the last 5 years, my kiddo is now 12. We love the safari, obviously a treat during summer but even during winters its amazing experience. We usually opt to go to the encounters and have done tiger feed, lion feed, big cat, rides with camel etc. Its a no rush, very relaxed place and so well maintained. The employees here are so passionate, that it shows, they make you feel so welcomed! Totally recommend! Btw I bought tickets online twice to get a deal but even when i bought tickets online there were offers, please note i usually went during or close to holidays.
It is way better than the Oregon zoo. There is so much to see. I went during the rain on super bowl so not many people were there. The drive through part took about an hour. I took about 45 minutes to do the gift shop and walk. It was will worth the trip. I will go back soon for sure.
We saw this advertised on a billboard and wanted to check it out. It was a bit pricey but we don’t regret going. It was a fun experience, especially with binoculars to be able to see the animals that were further!
