Located at the northern tip of the Barrington Coast, you will find the beautiful Diamond Head Beach and its iconic rock formations.
Many eastern grey kangaroos call this beach and the neighbouring campsite home. It's common to see them skipping across the white sand, catching some shade under the beach vegetation or even taking a dip in the ocean to cool off.
The Diamond Head Loop Track is accessible from the beach and stretches across the rocky headland south to Kylies Beach. Pack your camera for some breathtaking views!
Diamond Head Beach is 4WD accessible from the campsite in the south and Dunbogan in the north. A NSW National Parks Pass is required to drive on the beach.
The Barrington Coast is famous for its forests, waterways and beaches as well as its 15 national parks and 63 state forests, nature reserves and conservation areas. Their fertile lands are watered by 38 rivers including the only double delta in the southern hemisphere and the state's tallest single drop waterfall at 200 metres. The Barrington Coast also enjoys a pristine triple lakes system and over 190 kilometres of absolutely stunning coastline.
Loved Diamond Head Beach, especially the tidal pools to the south of the beach.
We had come here to explore the headland and get some snorkeling in but unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side with a larger swell due to some dodgy weather further south so it was a bit messy in the water but still managed to see a few fish around the submerged rocks.
Would be great to visit again on a calmer day to explore the sheltered tidal pools.

A perfect place where the beach, mountains and rainforest walk meet. 10 minute drive to the main town. Will be here again.

We walked from Kylie’s beach campground through Diamond Head Loop and reach this Diamond beach. Can say it’s one of my best bush walking experiences! Beautiful path, walk, view, and bush! 💚💚💚

the positives- close to the beach, wild life and dump point.
the negatives- for state land and considering how much land this beautiful country has, this place was made by environmental zealots, very claustrophobic feel, caravans squashed together (people are wonderful though) and as you open your caravan door or look out your window you are at a caravan show! it really detracts from what this could have been.... we pay so much taxes, one would have hoped the government could have been slightly more generous and giving to its tax payers..... we would not come here again!!

Amazing little campground right on the beach with 4WD beach access and everything you need for an amazing getaway. Camp close to the water and enjoy the company of the local kangaroos and other wildlife. Make sure you book your stay as it is a very popular camp ground.
