Dee Why Rockpool

​The Dee Why rock pool is officially named the Isa Wye Rock Pool (or Isa Wye Pool), in recognition of local community legend Isa Wye, who was involved with the Dee Why Ladies' Amateur Swimming Club for 85 years. ​Dee Why Rock Pool (Isa Wye Pool) Details: ​Location: Situated at the southern end of Dee Why Beach. ​Features: It comprises two main sections: ​A 50-metre lap pool, ideal for serious swimmers. ​A shallow toddler wading pool, making it very popular with families. ​Facilities: It has accessible toilets and showers nearby, and is close to the cafes and shops that line the Dee Why beachfront. ​Nearby Attractions to Dee Why Beach: ​Dee Why Beach itself is a major draw, but other attractions in the area include: ​Dee Why Lagoon: Located at the northern end of the beach, this is a wildlife sanctuary for birds. ​Ted Jackson Reserve: Features a fenced children's playground and an outdoor tennis table, popular with families. ​Coastal Walks: The Dee Why to Curl Curl Coastal Walk offers great ocean views and connects to: ​Curl Curl Beach: South of Dee Why, this beach also has its own ocean pool and lagoon area (North Curl Curl Rockpool and South Curl Curl ocean pool). ​Long Reef Point: Curves northeast from the lagoon, offering lookouts where you can often spot whales between May and November. It also contains the oldest aquatic reserve in NSW. ​Cafes and Restaurants: The Dee Why beachfront is lined with numerous cafes, restaurants, and surf shops.

Big rock pool, with large dedicated kids area separated from main pool. Main pool is long and wide enough to never feel congested. Nice area surrounding kids and main pool to lay down and relax. Also extended rock area to the South for picnic, get together or walk around. Public bathroom need improvement but are convenient. Easy access from street above or from Dee Why Beach.

Great spot by the main Dee Why beach!! Always used by families, with 2 pools of different length and depth, making it friendly for kids too. Breathtaking from a Birds Eye view! You can see from an aerial view how the shape really complements the beach and rocks.

I’m a huge fan of the **Dee Why Rockpool** for my swimming routine. Much like my other local favorites, this is the perfect sanctuary to get some laps in when the beach is looking a bit too rough for comfort. The standout feature here is definitely the size; it has the added bonus of being larger than the Collaroy pool, which makes a world of difference when you're trying to find a clear lane. While it certainly gets a bit crowded with the weekend crowds and local families, the extra space ensures it never feels too cramped for a serious workout. It’s a beautifully maintained spot with a great coastal vibe overall, a great place for any ocean swimmer!
