Located at Newcastle Airport, Fighter World is a hands-on experience. Visitors can walk around, touch and view some of Australia's most iconic military aircraft plus enjoy the added benefit of sitting in the cockpits of a Mirage jet fighter, Macchi jet trainer and a CT-4B basic training aircraft.
There are many historic aircraft, replicas and weapons on display.
Inside the main hangar, you'll also discover the Norm Forrester Collection; one of Australia's greatest displays of hand-built model aircraft.
State of the art Flight Simulators provide the chance to test your 'Top Gun' skills and must be booked separately.
In addition, step up to the Observation Deck where you can view some of the world's most advanced aircraft take-off and land and on your way out don't forget to stop at the souvenir shop for something truly unique.
After your adventure, enjoy the warm welcome, great food and friendly atmosphere of the Fighter Beans Café before you depart.

My wife and I have visited here before and loved it so much we recently went back. The museum houses over 17 historic aircraft and replicas, including the F/A-18A Hornet, F-111C, Mirage III, Avon Sabre, Gloster Meteor and much more. There is an open observation deck where visitors can watch aircraft, such as the F-35A Lightning II, take off and land while listening to live audio from Air Traffic. There is a Cafe there called Fighter Beans Café: It offers a large amount of snacks, meals, and coffee with great views of the airfield. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor undercover seating and open air seating. The hangars and café are wheelchair accessible; however, the observation deck is accessed by stairs only. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. If, like me, you love aviation you have to pay this incredible museum a visit.

This Airforce museum has so much to offer. Many static antiques show the years of war and all the equipment used to keep them flying. A very well maintained exhibition at a stunning location. The gift shop has plenty of souvenirs. Go onto the viewing deck and watch the fighter plains landing. Enjoy coffee and snacks at the coffee shop.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Fighter World, located at 49 Medowie Road, Williamtown, New South Wales, is an absolutely fantastic destination for aviation enthusiasts and families alike! The extensive display of fighter jets is impressive, showcasing the rich history of Australian aviation. You'll find a variety of exhibits, including ammunition, weapons, and engines, all very well organized and easy to navigate. One of the highlights is the attached "My Three Beans" Cafe, where you can enjoy a delicious meal or drink while possibly witnessing jets taking off or landing - a thrilling experience! The noise of the jets adds to the excitement. Admission is reasonably priced at $20 for adults, $11 for children (under 5 years are free), and $16 for seniors/pensioners. I also had the incredible opportunity to try the flight simulator for an F18A fighter plane for just $35. The instructors were knowledgeable and provided great insights from their experiences, making it a worthwhile addition to the visit. Facilities are well-maintained, with accessible toilets available around the back of the building, and ample free parking. Overall, Fighter World offers an engaging and memorable experience for all ages. Highly recommended! Regards Ash

An incredible place to visit for plane lovers but also if you want to learn from an incredible crew of volunteers! The planes are immaculate and I have to say maintain with such love and attention to details. A massive shout out to Arthur and Chris for the tour. Chris went above and beyond to share his amazing work on the planes! I learnt so much..can't thank them enough!

Well maintained small to medium 2 hangars, with a limited amount of displays and couple of simulators. Would recommend passerby waiting for a flight if arrived too early. If you’ve visited a few other RAAF museums or large air show events, this place probably won’t interest you much. I however learned Konica’s former name and what cluster bomb looks like inside.
