Fantastic location on Darling Harbour! Walkable to everywhere! Spent one night but totally book again. Room was fantastic, clean and affordable. Parking on site. It's a car elevator, so if you don't like them, just a heads up. You can leave your car until 1pm day of check out incase you have an appt in the area and don't want to hunt for parking.
Extremely happy with our sty here last week whilst interstate. We stayed 4 nights in total in a 2 bed with balcony room. The location is fantastic and walkable to everywhere. We didn't have to take a train or bus - just our feet! We parked the car up in the hotel for $60 a day which kept it safe and secure. The carpark has a parking lift which was an adventure in itself. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wanted an air dryer for my washing and had it delivered within a couple of minutes to my room. Everything worked fine and instructions were clear and helpful. Would highly recommend for a family stay.
Overall, our stay was fine. The staff were lovely and the hotel itself is modern and stylish on a surface level. However the cleanliness of the room was definitely not up to standard. From the moment I walked in, I noticed marks on the mirrors, kitchen cupboards, floors, and other surfaces. It wasn’t unbearable but aside from the clean bedsheets, towels, and empty bins, the room did not feel properly cleaned. The showers in both bathrooms were covered in mould which made me feel uncomfortable while showering. If I had been staying longer than one night, I honestly would have purchased bleach and cleaned it myself. I’m not particularly high maintenance, but after spending almost $700 on a two bedroom apartment, I expected a much cleaner space. Overall, the lack of cleanliness was extremely disappointing. There is also no room service which is my fault for not doing a thorough research however for a massive high end chain hotel it was just expected. So it was an inconvenience having to purchase Uber eats every time I wanted to eat or drink.
I spent a long time debating between this hotel and the Hilton Sydney, and I can confidently say I made the right choice. I am much more satisfied here than I would have been at the Hilton. If I visit Sydney again, I will definitely stay here without any hesitation. The facilities are incredibly convenient and well-maintained. The kitchen was a lifesaver for traveling with my child, and the overall environment was very clean and pleasant. The location is also a major plus—it’s close to everything but tucked away just enough to be quiet and peaceful, away from the city noise. I also want to give a special shout-out to the female staff member who helped me with an early check-in on the morning of April 15th. She was so kind and professional. I felt very sorry that I couldn't leave a tip because I only had $100 bills at the moment. I really hope this message reaches her to let her know how much I appreciated her help. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and stress-free stay in Sydney!
Absolutely loved our stay here! My husband surprised our friends and I with a beautiful 3 bedroom and the room was amazing, everything was SPOTLESS and clean. The location is absolutely beautiful I would highly recommend. I will say it’s a bit of a walk to town hall and other shopping areas if you’re a shopaholic like us! (Carrying the bags up and down hill was a big regret 😂) Reception were amazing especially the 2 handsome men who helped with our luggage and the wonderful Leonie! What a star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She did inform us she was only working there for the day but managed to assist with recommendations, how to use the lifts (we are getting old now), and was extremely funny! it was honestly a breath of fresh air with her hospitality! After dreadful service during our overseas travels we were so delighted to be staying in a hotel back in Australia with workers who DIDNT seem to hate everything! ❤️. Thank you Meriton for making such a safe space for my friends and I during a special weekend! The balloon garland gave us such hot pics!!! We will definitely be staying at meritons in the future ❤️🏳️🌈
